Jump and Hula Hoop Event to Focus on Heart Health

Siouxland girls will learn about taking care of their hearts as they take part in a “Jump and Hula Hoop for Heart Health” event this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA in South Sioux City.

The special event is being co-sponsored by Mercy’s Red Dress Ambassadors, Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa, Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA, Hy-Vee and CNOS.

Highlights of the free event include a hula hoop contest, health snacks from Hy-Vee, jump roping, and heart health information and education. Special emphasis will be placed on the importance of exercise and nutrition.
