Red Dress Ambassadors
The Mercy Heart Center organized the Red Dress Ambassadors to help make all women aware that heart and cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death for women. The Red Dress Ambassadors call attention to opportunities for women to improve their quality of life through heart disease education, risk assessment and lifestyle changes.
According to the American Heart Association, nearly 500,000 women die each year of heart and cardiovascular disease. This is more than the next seven causes of death combined, including all forms of cancer.
Women interested in becoming a Red Dress Ambassador should contact Sharon Blanche at Mercy Heart Center at (712) 279-2878 or blanches@mercyhealth.com to send an e-mail. Click here to access the Red Dress Ambassador application form.
