On-Site Primary Care Services
Glenda DenHerder, C.S., ARNP provides mental health and substance abuse services on-site at local and regional primary care provider offices. This is a collaborative, integrated approach to improve identification and treatment of people with mental health and substance abuse problems.
Goals of on-site behavioral health services
- Provide early identification and intervention for behavioral disorders commonly seen in primary care (depression, anxiety, somaticization, obsessive-compulsive, substance abuse).
- Decrease stigma associated with mental health and substance abuse problems.
- Improve communication and coordination between patient/family, primary care provider, and community resources.

- Psychological consultation regarding physical/medical conditions
- Stress management/relaxation
- Brief solution focused therapy for individuals, couples and families
- Cognitive behavioral therapy
- Patient/family education and treatment planning
- Grief counseling
- Psychopharmacologic medication management
- Case coordination with community/social services
- Consultation
- Referral
