Two New Appointments at Mercy Business Health Services
Mercy Medical Center’s Director of Network Operations Sue Erickson has announced the appointments of Debra Twyford to the position of Worksite Wellness RN and Kim Jorgensen as Coordinator of Worksite Wellness and the Employee Assistance Program.
Debra Twyford will be responsible for assisting in the development of worksite health and wellness programs. She will also assist in administering the onsite nursing services provided by Mercy Business Health to area employers.
She has worked at Mercy Business Health Services as an Occupational Health Nurse and Wellness Coach. In this role she has provided onsite occupational health nursing, wellness coaching and core wellness screenings to various companies.
Debra received her Associate Degree of Nursing from Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City, Iowa. She completed the 12-week Intrinsic Coaching Development Series for health and wellness professionals and earned the certifying mark Intrinsic Coach®. Debra is a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist, a certified Freedom from Smoking facilitator, CPR Instructor for the American Red Cross and a National Exercise Trainers Association Certified Group Exercise Instructor. In addition, Debra instructs fitness classes at a local health club.
Kim Jorgensen will be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of Mercy Business Health’s various wellness and Employee Assistance Programs at the worksite. Kim has 24 years of work experience at Mercy Medical Center serving in a variety of roles. For the past 15 years she has been the Employee Assistance Program Liaison for Mercy Business Health Services.
While in her role as the EAP Liaison, Kim has provided consultation, training and evaluation services to help area businesses address employee productivity, behavioral risk management, and health care cost containment.
Kim has a BA from the University of Northern Iowa and a MS from the University of South Dakota. In May of 2008, she completed the Intrinsic Coach® Development Series and earned the designation of Intrinsic Coach®.
