Mercy Medical Center—Sioux City will host its 2012 Ethics Conference for healthcare providers and other professionals on Friday, Oct. 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the Marina Inn Conference Center in South Sioux City, Nebraska.
The workshop for government officials/ leaders, health care providers/administrators, social service, employers and other interested professionals will be educated regarding the changing health care system. Learn about organizational and personal responsibility for individual and community health outcomes. Hear why, as a nation, we need to change (an economic imperative) the way health care is delivered. Discussion about what roles the hospitals, medical providers and government fulfill in the coming era of change. Discussion about what consequences occur when individuals don’t take care of their own health and the impact that has to the health care system. Recognize what is already happening and what is planned locally.

The cost to attend the conference is $89.
For nurses completing the entire program, 6.0 contact hours (0.60 CEUs) will be awarded. For physician completing the entire program, 5.0 AMA PRA Category 1 credits. TM
