Mercy Names Hugh J. DePaulis as Vice President of Finance

Hugh J. DePaulis has been appointed as the Vice President of Finance for Mercy Medical Center-Sioux City. That announcement comes from Robert Peebles, the President and CEO of Mercy, and Rod Schlader, Regional CFO, CHE/Trinity Health.

Prior to joining Mercy, DePaulis most recently served as the Vice President of Finance at Sacred Heart Health System in Pensacola, Florida. He held responsibilities for three separate hospitals and a Physician Medical Group, all members of the Ascension Health System, the largest non-profit health system in the United States. He was also an Executive Co-sponsor of Sacred Heart Health System's ICD-10 implementation and a team member of the Florida Medicaid Hospital Reimbursement Workgroup.

DePaulis has previous professional experience within the CHE/Trinity Health system as he served at St. Joseph's Mercy Oakland in Pontiac, Michigan, and at St. Joseph Mercy Macomb in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, as well as at the Detroit Medical Center (DMC).

DePaulis holds a MSM degree in Healthcare Management from Troy University and a BBA from Eastern Michigan University. He and his wife April will be relocating to Siouxland in early March.
