How to Pick the Best Berry

Here's a quick easy primer on how to choose and store the best berry. Use these tips for all berries, including blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries.

    Ingredients

    Preparation

      • To choose: At the market, pick up the berries and smell them. They should have a sweet aroma. Check the bottom and around the sides of the container to make sure there are no spoiled berries in the container.
      • To store: Take the berries out of the container and line them in a single layer on a plate. Store them in the refrigerator, dry and uncovered.
