Broccoli Slaw Recipe

Make this low fat and low cholesterol heart healthy side dish for your next BBQ.

Ingredients

    • 2 cups shredded broccoli
    • 1 cup shredded carrots
    • 1 cup raisins
    • 1/2 cup sweet onion (optional)
  • Dressing:

    • 2 tbsp light mayonnaise
    • 1 tsp lemon juice
    • 2 tbsp skim milk
    • black pepper to taste

Preparation

    • Combine broccoli, carrots and raisins in a large bowl. If you are adding onion, slice thinly and separate the slices.
    • In a small bowl mix the lemon juice with the mayonnaise. Whisk in the milk and pepper. Toss the salad with the this dressing. Taste and adjust seasoning.
