Grandparenting Class
Becoming a grandparent is one of the most joyous occasions in one's adult life. Currently, grandparents are taking on expanded responsibilities as the birth of the grandchild is once again viewed as a "family" event. Grandparents provide varying levels of support and differing roles than in years past. Grandparents are often sought for guidance and sources of information during their children's feelings of uncertainty during pregnancy and continues through the grandchild's life. However, parents-to-be or new parents often feel overwhelmed and confused based on what health care professionals recommend and what grandparents advise. Many things have changed including infant care essentials, safety concerns, current childbirth practices, parenting techniques and methods to enhance childhood development.
