In addition to offices and examination rooms for the physicians and staff of Mercy Cardiology, the fourth floor of the Mercy Heart Center contains non-invasive diagnostic services. These diagnostic tests are used to identify heart conditions associated with heart disease. Our highly trained technologists have access to some of the most advanced equipment available to assist in making a diagnosis. Some of the tests performed include:
- Treadmill stress testing
- Event monitoring/Holter monitoring
- Peripheral arterial studies
- Electrocardiogram (ECG) services
- Nuclear diagnostics
HealthGrades, the nation's leading independent health care ratings company, has listed Mercy Medical Center as one of America's 100 Best Hospitals for Overall Cardiac Services. HealthGrades has also ranked Mercy Medical Center #1 in Iowa for Overall Cardiac Services and for Cardiology Services in 2012.
Mercy Heart Center technicians also bring many of these diagnostic tools and award-winning care to patients in outlying Siouxland communities, clinics and hospitals.
