How To Get To Mercy Medical Center

Free parking is available in the Mercy Parking Ramp, which can be accessed from Fifth Street and Sixth Street. Fifth Street is a one-way street heading east. Sixth Street is a one-way street heading west. Elevators at the south end of the parking ramp connect to the fourth and fifth floors of Mercy Heart Center. The same elevators also connect to a first-floor walkway that leads to the south hospital building. The parking ramp is connected to the third and first floors of the Central Medical Building.

City parking meters are also available along Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Jones streets. Valet parking is available between 5 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at the circle entrance at 624 Jones Street, across from the helicopter landing pad. Handicapped parking spaces are designated in the Mercy Parking Ramp, in the Emergency/Trauma area off Jennings and Sixth streets and by the Rehabilitation Center entrance to the north hospital building.

Reduced Hotel Room Rate

Mercy Medical Center-Sioux City and the Clarion Hotel (formerly Hilton and Plaza hotels) have joined together to offer a reduced hotel room rate to patients and their families.

The Clarion Hotel provides free transportation (upon availability) between Mercy and the hotel. The hotel also offers a food discount at its restaurant. Mercy guests who wish to take advantage of the room and food discounts at the Clarion Hotel should go to Mercy's admitting desk, the Emergency Room or an information desk to pick up their verification paper to give to the hotel upon check-in.

The Clarion Hotel is located at 707 Fourth Street, approximately one block south of Mercy Medical Center. The city's enclosed skywalk system connects the hospital with the hotel.
