Mercy bases its healthcare costs on regional standards for hospitals of similar size that provide similar services and regularly reviews these healthcare costs.
We will accept your assignment of healthcare benefits and bill your health insurer or government program. Your healthcare plan, however, may not cover some hospital charges. These charges are your responsibility. All non-covered charges, deductibles, and/or co-insurance payments are due in full within 30 days of rendering the hospital statement. Mercy may require a deposit for some elective medical procedures.
Medical insurance does not cover the cost of a private room. Mercy will provide itemized statements on request.
Our staff can help you with financial arrangements or assistance programs. For more information, please call Patient Financial Services at 1-866-494-3001 or click here to complete the Financial Assistance Application.
We support price transparency. For our patients to understand their potential financial liability for hospital services, we are making our hospital charges available to patients. Hospital charges vary based on the type of care provided. The price can differ from patient to patient for the same services. The price will be different for complications or different treatment for the patient's personal health condition. Patients also may qualify for financial assistance. Please contact Financial Counseling at 712-279-2323 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org for a price estimate or to find out if you qualify for financial assistance.
