Mercy Breaks Ground for Dakota Dunes Clinic
Mercy Medical Services, a partner to Mercy Medical Center—Sioux City, will open a new family practice medical clinic in Dakota Dunes, S.D. this summer.
The new clinic will be housed in a 7,000 square foot space in a medical office building now under construction at 3300 Dakota Dunes Boulevard.
Once construction of the new Dakota Dunes Mercy Medical Clinic is completed this summer, Dr. Danielle Prince and Cliff Wilkinson, PA-C, who are currently seeing patients at the Midtown Mercy Medical Clinic in Sioux City, will move to the new Dakota Dunes location. Dr. Jeremy Vande Zande will also join them in that practice.
Mercy plans to recruit other providers to join the Dakota Dunes clinic, according to Brian Monsma, executive director of Mercy Medical Services.
“We are committed to expanding the availability of primary care services in the Siouxland area,” he said. “The construction of a new state-of-the-art facility in Dakota Dunes marks a exciting time of growth for our clinic network.”
“Along with availability of great physicians and providers, and nice facilities, we will continue to focus on customer service and convenience,” Monsma added.
A new Mercy clinic is also under construction in Sioux City’s Singing Hills area. Once that new 10,000 square foot facility is completed this summer, the Singing Hills Mercy Medical Clinic, which is currently located nearby at 3500 Singing Hills Boulevard, will make the one-block move into a new location.
Mercy Medical Services owns or manages 28 family practice medical clinics and 8 specialty clinics in western Iowa and eastern Nebraska. Mercy also owns Oakland Mercy Hospital in Oakland, Neb. and Baum Harmon Mercy Hospital in Primghar, Iowa, and manages Hawarden Community Hospital in Hawarden, Iowa, and Pender Community Hospital in Pender, Neb.
