Alexander and Olivia Top List of Popular Baby Names at Mercy

Alexander and Olivia were the most popular names given to infants born at Mercy Medical Center—Sioux City in 2007.  

Reese was second on the list of most chosen names for baby boys at Mercy’s Family Birth Center.  The names Ashton, Austin, Giovanni, Kevin, Noah, Tanner and Tyler were also widely selected.  Many other proud parents chose the names Benjamin, Christopher, Israel, Max, and William.

The name Madison was the second most fashionable for newborn girls.  Other favorites included Brenda, Ella, Emma, Evelyn, Grace, Kimberly, and Stephanie.

Among the more unique names for boys were Bishop, Cohen, Cordez, Eston, Junius, Jy’Den, Nestor, and Xzavion.

Some of the more original names for girls who were born at Mercy during the past year included Aja, Bentley, Briar, Car-Tisha, Da-Shayna, Harmony, Heavenly, Roddasha, Surreal, Vessie, and Ziara.
