Child Car Seat Check Planned for Saturday

Safe Kids Woodbury County will sponsor a free child car seat safety check on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Fire Station No. 3, 2630 3rd Street, Sioux City.

Parents are encouraged to bring their children and their car seats so certified technicians can properly fit the child to his or her seat. Technicians will also check to see if the seat itself is properly secured in the vehicle.

Safe Kids Woodbury County is dedicated to preventing accidental childhood injury, theleading killer of children 14 and under. Its members include representatives from various agencies in Sioux City focused on promoting child safety. Safe Kids Woodbury County is led by Mercy Medical Center—Sioux City.
