Ribbon Cutting Thursday for Mercy Business Health and Urgent Care

Community leaders and healthcare professionals will cut the ribbon for the new Mercy Business Health Services and Mercy Urgent Care facility at 3500 Singing Hills Boulevard in Sioux City on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. Mercy physicians and staff members will also host a public open house to showcase the new clinic from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Formerly located at 4301 Sergeant Road, the clinic opened in the newly constructed building near Wal-Mart on May 16.

“Our patients like our new building and new location on Singing Hills Boulevard,”

said Lana Bleil, practice manager for Mercy Business Health Services and Mercy Urgent Care. “Our new facility has given us more space and an attractive, efficient environment of care for our patients and Business Health clients.”

“The 6,000-square-foot facility includes six exam rooms, physical therapy and occupational therapy suites, and physician and staff offices,” Bleil added.

Mercy Urgent Care is open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. No appointments are needed.

Mercy Urgent Care offers easily accessible and immediate treatment for injuries and unexpected illnesses that occur at home or away from home. The clinic is an ideal destination for patients with medical problems that require prompt attention but aren’t serious enough to warrant a trip to the emergency room.

Mercy introduced the concept of urgent care in Sioux City in 2001.

Mercy Business Health Services serves the region with a comprehensive array of specialized services including worker injury evaluation and treatment, rehabilitation services, on-site occupational health nursing, loss prevention, and worksite wellness.

Hospital officials emphasize that the Mercy Behavioral Care Clinic has not moved and continues to serve patients at 4301 Sergeant Road in Sioux City.
