Mercy Pulmonary Rehabilitation Earns National Recertification
The Pulmonary Rehabilitation program at Mercy Medical Center—Sioux City has been awarded continued certification by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).
Certification recognizes those programs rigorously reviewed by a national board and found to meet the outlined essential requirements for standards of care.
Through education and exercise, the Mercy Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program helps patients who have breathing difficulties such as COPD, asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, pulmonary fibrosis, and other diseases.
The well-established program endeavors to reverse the psychological and physiological pathology of pulmonary diseases — one patient at a time. After precise testing determines the exact needs of an individual patient, he or she benefits from a specific rehabilitation program for improved health and quality of life.
