Mercy Plans Rummage Sale Fundraiser

Mercy Medical Center—Sioux City will host a special sale of used office equipment and household items this Friday and Saturday.

The public sale will be from noon to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, and from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in the former Hatfield Hardware building at 902 Fifth Street across the street from the hospital’s Fifth Street entrance. Those attending the sale are asked to enter the Hatfield Hardware building’s rear entrance.

Items for sale will include chairs, desks, file cabinets, bookshelves, lamps, overhead projectors, kids’ toys and fitness equipment.

None of the items will be marked. Buyers will instead be asked to make an offer in the form of a donation. Terms for the event will be strictly cash and carry, and all sales will be final.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit the hospital’s Spirit of Mercy Fund, which helps Mercy employees and volunteers with unforeseen medical expenses and other personal tragedies.
