Mercy Class Expands Seniors’ E-Mail Skills

Mercy Medical Center—Sioux City will host another workshop in its on-going series of computer classes for seniors early next month.

The two-part class session, “Getting More Out of E-Mail,” will convene from 3:00 to 5:00 on Monday and Wednesday, Oct. 1 and 3 in Mercy’s Computer Training Laboratory located in the Central Medical Building, 5th and Jackson Streets, Sioux City.

Seniors taking part in the class will learn how to create a folder, save documents to the folder, and send and receive e-mail attachments including pictures, letters and other documents. The class will also include a review of how to add contacts to your address book, and will incorporate hands-on practice time in the computer lab.

Mercy regularly offers computer classes for seniors through its Older Adult Services program.

The fee for each class is $28. The computer classes are limited to the first 12 people who pre-register and pre-pay. For more information, or to register, call Mercy at (712) 279-2995.
