Mercy Red Dress Ambassadors Plan Mystery Tea Party
The Mercy Heart Center Red Dress Ambassadors will host an “After Six Mystery Tea Party” on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Orpheum Theatre in Sioux City.
The interactive dinner theatre event entitled “Sherla Combs & The Case of the Great Jewel Robberies” is a new fundraising event for the Red Dress Ambassadors, a group dedicated to the work of Mercy Heart Center in making all women aware that the number one cause of death in women is heart and cardiovascular disease. Since the group was founded more than three years ago, women of all ages from throughout Siouxland have joined the effort.
Along with being part of the unfolding mystery, women attending the Sept. 27 event will enjoy Ruby Red Sippers (pomegranate champagne cocktails), tomato bisque with fresh rosemary scones, cucumber watercress with dill-cream cheese on pumpernickel, beef tenderloin crostini with caramelized onion, profiterole filled with walnut chicken salad, cherry tarts, chocolate dipped cookies, and hot almond tea.
Peggy Dougherty, Carla Galloway and Mary Reynolds are serving as co-chairs for the special event.
Tickets for the event are $35 per person. Limited seating for the event is still available. Call (712) 279-2989 to make reservations.
