We offer:

  • Physical Therapy to improve overall functional mobility, health and independence
  • Occupational Therapy to help patients with activities of daily living
  • Speech Therapy to address speech sounds, language, literacy, social communication, voice, fluency, cognitive issues such as memory, attention and thinking skills; frequently includes eating and swallowing

Interdisciplinary Care

Therapists in the outpatient setting work directly with physicians and caregivers to ensure therapy given is part of a comprehensive treatment plan.

Members of the interdisciplinary team may include:

  • The patient's primary care and/or specialty care physicians
  • Therapy staff
  • The patient and his or her family

Neurological injuries or conditions:

  • Stroke
  • Brain injury
  • Parkinson's disease
  • Nerve injuries
  • Vestibular and balance disorders
  • Myopathy/muscular weakness or debilitating weakness/deconditioning

Cancer

  • Pre- and post-cancer interventions
  • Lymphedema care

Cardiopulmonary issues:

  • COPD

Orthopedic injuries or surgeries:

  • Sprain or strains
  • Fractures
  • Amputations
  • Pain management
  • Arthritis
  • Sports injuries
  • Hand therapy

MercyOne Siouxland's Outpatient Therapy is conveniently located on the hospital's campus in the heart of Sioux City.  For easy access, use MercyOne Siouxland's entrance at 6th and Jones streets.
