Physical Therapy

Rehab Services:
The rehabilitation department at Baum Harmon Mercy Hospital consists of physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. Comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services are provided on site at our Baum Harmon Mercy Facility.

Physical Therapy:
Physical therapy provides inpatient and outpatient services for individuals with physical disabilities resulting in pain, decreased strength, poor walking, standing and moving or loss of function. Treatment for injuries and help for chronic pain are provided by our therapists. Treatment and home programs are designed to build maximum independence and function.

Some conditions that benefit from physical therapy include:

  • amputation
  • balance disorders
  • joint replacement
  • osteoporosis
  • sprains and fractures
  • strokes
  • tendonitis and bursitis
  • weakness

Our physical therapists provide various treatments such as:

  • back care programs

  • ultrasound treatments
  • vestibular rehab for dizziness & balance problems
