Our Staff
Rodney Cassens, MD, Medical Director
Dr. Cassens was appointed medical director for Mercy Business Health
Services/Urgent Care in January 2005. For 12 years Dr. Cassens
was a family practice physician at Maple Valley Mercy Medical Clinic
in Mapleton, Iowa. He also has served as a flight surgeon for the
First Squadron of the 113th Calvary of the Iowa Army National Guard,
based in Sioux City. As a flight surgeon, Dr. Cassens has extensive
experience treating National Guard members for personal and work-related
illness or injury. He received his medical degree from the University
of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City and completed his family
practice residency at the Siouxland Medical Education Foundation
in Sioux City. |

David Grote,
PA-C
Grote
received his bachelor's degree from the Physician Assistant Program
at the University of Oklahoma while on active duty for the U.S.
Army during Desert Storm. He has practiced as a physician assistant
in a variety of clinical settings. These include family medicine,
occupational medicine, emergency room/trauma care and well-child
care. Grote is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants
and has been practicing in the Siouxland area for over 8 years. |

Lana
Bleil, RN, BS, COHN, CCM, Practice Manager
In her role as practice manager, Lana is responsible for the supervision
of the day-to-day operations of the clinic, the on-site nursing
program, marketing, safety consultation, wellness services and case
management services. Lana received her nursing degree from Western
Iowa Tech in Sioux City, Iowa, and her bachelor's degree in business
administration from Bellevue University, Omaha, Nebraska. She is
board certified in occupational nursing (COHN) and certified in
case management.(CCM). Lana has held various positions within the
Mercy system. She has been with Mercy Business Health Services since
1995. |

Kira
Oregon, MS, CEES
Coordinator of Worksite Health Promotion
Kira joined Mercy Business Health Services in 1994. She received
her undergraduate degree in exercise science from Iowa State University
and her master's degree in exercise physiology from the University
of North Texas. She has also completed the Ergonomics Professional
Residency Program for certification as a Certified Ergonomic Evaluation
Specialist (CEES). In addition to ergonomics, Kira's responsibilities
include overseeing wellness programs at various Siouxland businesses,
providing support to the on-site occupational health nurses, coordinating
on-site testing and writing the monthly Worksite Wellness health
and safety newsletter. |
