Circle of Distinction

Recognizes cumulative contributions to the Foundation and honors donors for their loyal and continuous support. With each gift comes an ever-growing bond with the hospital, patients and staff and the knowledge that your generosity is significantly impacting Mercy Medical Center-Sioux City. These gifts are listed, beginning at $10,000 and above, on a permanent recognition piece located in our hospital’s main lobby.

Second Century Club

This group was formed to encourage active participation of supporters in Mercy Medical Center and to establish an exemplary pattern of annual support. Members are recognized for their financial leadership and counsel, which help provide for a second century of caring.

Honor and Memorial Gifts:

A gift in honor or memory of someone is a great way to celebrate a special occasion like a birth, graduation, anniversary, birthday or other major life occurrence, to perpetuate the memory or loved one or to honor someone special.

Trees for Tommorow:

Your tax-deductible gift of $250 or more will allow for a tree to be planted on the Mercy Medical Center campus, creating a lasting tribute to your loved one. Each gift given in honor, celebration or memory of a loved one will have a brass marker placed beneath the tree with the name of the individual being recognized.

Endowment Gifts:

A gift to the Mercy Foundation Endowment will perpetually support Mercy’s mission to work together and with others to continue the healing ministry of the Church by living the values of compassion, respect, concern for those who are poor, excellence and stewardship.

Planned Gifts:

Planned gifts offer many individuals increased opportunities to make charitable donations. Mercy Foundation staff members are available to discuss the following options and other possibilities with you and your financial advisor.
BEQUESTS: You can include Mercy in your will. This is an excellent way to make a charitable gift and, at the same time, take advantage of significant tax savings.
GIFT OF LIFE INSURANCE: You can name Mercy Medical Center Foundation as the owner and beneficiary of your life insurance policy, which offers several tax advantages.
CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITY: This is a contract between you and the Mercy Foundation. The Foundation agrees to pay you an annual annuity for your lifetime in exchange for a typical gift of cash or securities.

The Mercy Medical Center Foundation prides itself on being an excellent steward of the resources entrusted to it. The ultimate beneficiaries of these resources are patients, families and the community.
