Mercy Alliance for Womens Health

Mercy Alliance for Womens HealthRealize your power as a donor and leader!

The Mercy Alliance for Women’s Health is a bold new initiative to encourage women’s philanthropy. Our members are committed to increasing the role of women in philanthropy through informed individual and collective giving.

Members each contribute a minimum of $500 annually (membership may be shared by 2-5 women). Membership investments are pooled in our “collective purse.” You will have the opportunity to learn about local women’s health projects in need of funding and to vote on projects you choose to support.

For more information about helping us inspire, educate and encourage women to effect change through philanthropy, please call the Mercy Foundation at 712-279-2475 or send an e-mail to Clausenl@mercyhealth.com.

In addition, the Shelter makes it possible residents to attend social events in the community.

The specialized program uses the Creighton Model FertilityCare System and NaProTechnology, which can be used to treat a range of health issues including infertility, repeated miscarriages, PMS, post-partum depression. The Creighton Model FertilityCare System is based on awareness of a woman’s ovulation cycle and is a natural means for spacing births or achieving pregnancy.
  • The Center for Siouxland was awarded $3,000 to for a project that gives women in need a one-time voucher to buy physician-prescribed medications to maintain or regain their mental or physical health. The Center will also make referrals to agencies or other sources that can help these women meet the cost of future or long-term prescriptions.
  • Mercy Rehabilitation Services was awarded $2,990 to allow a physical therapist to receive 80 hours of training in the treatment of lymphedema. A serious and progressive condition caused by the accumulation of lymphatic fluid in the body that cases swelling in the arms or legs, lymphedema is common in post-mastectomy patients in the United States.
