We are one of four ACS verified trauma care facilities in the state. We are the only trauma center in western Iowa serving a tristate region of Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa. We are the only Level II Trauma Center within an 80 mile radius, but we serve the population of a 150 mile radius.

Thanks to Mercy Air Care, the only regional air ambulance, lives are saved daily as life flights, attended by a paramedic and a registered nurse, provide fast access to outstanding medical care.

National Honors for Mercy’s Trauma Center.
The American College of Surgeons recently verified the outstanding level of care at Mercy’s Trauma Center as a Level II Trauma Center. This verification is only awarded after a rigorous inspection, and in those hospitals demonstrating the necessary resources and quality improvement for trauma care. (712) 279-2066
