The Celiac Sprue Support Group Celiac Disease (CD) is a genetic disorder. In people with CD, eating certain types of protein, called gluten, sets off an autoimmune response that causes damage to the small intestine. Diabetes Support Group (Children with Diabetes and Parents) Support for Children with Diabetes and caretakers of Children with Diabetes. Serving families coping with Diabetes in the Siouxland area. Tobacco Cessation Class (Mercy) Eight one-hour group sessions in the evenings; sessions led by a trained facilitator; program uses a positive behavior change approach; sessions deal with recovery, weight control, stress management and resisting the urge to use tobacco; and information on the latest tobacco cessation aids.
