Family Birth Center

Family Birth Center Virtual Tour

The virtual tour of the Family Birth Center gives you reassurance knowing where your baby will be born.

Reception Area
Upon entering the Family Birth Center from the elevators, you will immediately view our reception area – the hub of the Family Birth Center. You will notice three hallways extending in a “Y” with the LDR rooms in one hallway, the LDRPs extending down the central hallway and the private postpartum rooms down the third hallway past the Special Care Nursery. This area is also the main nurses’ station.

LDRP Rooms
The LDRP rooms provide a large, relaxed area for your stay throughout your labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum.

LDR Rooms
The LDR rooms offer a comfortable environment and a private bathroom and shower during your labor, delivery and recovery.

Cesarean Birth Room
Our Cesarean birth room provides a sterile environment for the safe, surgical birth of your child.

Private Postpartum Room
If you have given birth in a LDR room, you will be moved to a private postpartum room once you are comfortable and your recovery is completed. These rooms offer a comfortable bed and a private bathroom, bathtub and shower.

Special Care Nursery
Our Special Care Nursery provides specialized care for infants who need extra attention. A very small percentage of babies actually require this type care, but Mercy Family Birth Center provides this service in case it is needed. The nursery is also an option for those mothers not wishing to have their newborn room-in with them during their stay.

Family Room
Our family room provides a relaxation area for visitors and also access to the Internet for you to stay in touch with family and friends.
