Ambassador Program Application Process
Welcome
to Mercy Medical Center – Sioux City’s Volunteer Ambassador
Program! Please note that we consider our volunteers an important
and integral part of our commitment to excellence in serving our
patients, families and guests. Thank you for choosing Mercy as the
recipient of your gifts of time and talent.
- Complete Application
and Background Screening forms
- Complete interview process
- Review and sign Confidentiality of Information Agreement form
- Complete TB Screening – The Mantoux (5Tu) PPD (skin test)
shall be given to all individuals prior to starting their volunteer
role. The skin test is placed on your arm and then read 48 –
72 hours later.
- Attend Orientation Program – During the orientation program,
you will learn about safety and security, infection control, standards
of customer service, patient confidentiality, communications and
tour the facility. During this time, you will also have your picture
taken for your Identification (ID) Badge. Once you have been assigned
to a specific area, a departmental orientation will be completed
by the manager and/or assigned personnel in that respective area.
