Medical Center-Sioux City has grown into a regional center that
meets the needs of Siouxlanders in a 33 county area.
In addition to the main hospital in Sioux City, Mercy-Sioux City owns rural hospitals in Primghar, Iowa, and Oakland, Nebraska, and operates a primary care clinic network, specialty care clinics and home health services. It also partners with other community healthcare providers to sponsor a regional cancer center, paramedic services, hospice services, a freestanding surgery center and a variety of other health services. Mercy-Sioux City also manages community hospitals in Hawarden, Iowa, and Pender, Nebraska, several rural primary care clinics and a long-term care facility.
Mercy-Sioux City has received national recognition for its leadership in providing quality care to cardiac, orthopedic, vascular, stroke and oncology patients. Mercy-Sioux City also has the only Level II Trauma Center in Western Iowa, and provides a vital, lifesaving link to rural areas via Mercy Air Care, the hospital's helicopter ambulance service.
Mercy Medical Center-Sioux City is a member of Trinity Health, Novi, Michigan,
the fourth largest Catholic healthcare system in the nation. As Mercy
continues to position itself as Siouxlands health care leader,
it will always keep in focus its number one mission -- caring for
patients in the communities it serves. |
